Claire & Ian

Claire and Ian were married at the St Joseph church in Matlock on the 18th of May 2019 and held their stunning wedding breakfast and evening reception at Haarlem Mill. Although Claire and her bridesmaids didn’t use the bridal suite for morning preparations they had the chance to utilise it for some stunning photos later in the day. The day was shot by photographers Jo Greenfield and Tess Viera.

A whole host of local suppliers helped to make the day unforgettable. All of the wedding stationary was designed and created by the talented Amy Bailey, from invites, to on the day essentials such as the menu, table plan and order of service for the church. The extraordinary flowers, both in bouquets and in the venue styling, were arranged and provided by Tineke Floral Designs.

We hear about a lot of grooms that just like to show up on the day… so imagine our delight when we heard Ian wasn’t only getting involved in the planning… he was making their favours. ‘Meant to bee’ honey was personalised and given to each guest on the banquet table.

Speaking of banquets… amazing suppliers were also key to the outstanding food, with even the beer and ingredients being sourced locally. A keg was supplied by Shottle Farm Brewery and the goats cheese for the starter was provided by The Bull Shed at Handley Farm. The full menu, catered by Zest, consisted of a goats cheese, beetroot and walnut starter, beef bourguignon for main and a sticky toffee pudding.

The party really got started in the evening, with band The New York Royals encouraging guests to dance the night away and a fun photobooth from Old School Booth making sure Ian and Claire captured the evenings memories.

What an honour it was to be part of such a spectacular day. Get in touch today to book a viewing or check out our other supplier recommendations here.
