Dan’s proposal came many years after we first got together, but when it finally happened we couldn’t wait to get stuck into planning our big day!

It started with finding the perfect venue…rustic, chilled out and somewhere unique! Haarlem Mill definitely ticked all of those boxes..and more, so we didn’t hesitate to book!

I loved everything about planning the wedding! You guys at Haarlem were amazing and made things so easy for us. One of our highlights was the food! We absolutely loved it and all our guests said that it couldn't have been any better. The choice was amazing and we loved how flexible you were with the menus.

Haarlem Mill already has the wow factor and so we decided to keep the decoration to a minimum! We went simple sage green, cream and a toffee colour, lots of rustic flowers and wine bottles, wooden logs and rustic tray bakes made by my aunty. I made my own seating plan and made a kids corner, bought some toys and a teepee.

The ceremony was perfect! Shannon managed to get both my girls to walk down the aisle, which I think was the most memorable part of everyones day. We chose to have a magician, Paul Grundle for some entertainment during the drinks reception, which was a huge hit. The Burgundys played some fantastic songs all evening…I would definitely recommend those guys..what a band!

A perfect day in a perfect venue! What more could a couple wish for!
